Dr. Amjad Iqbal - Associate Professor, Dean, UCP, Lahore
Dr. Muhammad Amjad has been teaching for more than seven years at various renowned universities of Pakistan before joining UCP in October 2010. He received his PhD from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, FAST. He has done his Post-Doctoral studies from Signal and Image Processing Lab (SIPL) from GIST, Gwangju, South Korea in 2015. He has supervised various thesis of MS/MPhil. Two students have already completed their PhDs under his supervision. He is regularly publishing his research in various Journals/Conference of high repute. His major areas of interest include Machine Learning, Fuzzy Logic, Evolutionary Function Optimization, Content Based Image Retrieval, Facial Expressions Recognition, Homogeneous and heterogeneous combination of classifiers.
Dr. Kashif Zafar - Professor, HOD, NUCES FAST, Lahore
Dr. Kashif Zafar is associated with National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences since 2004 in the Department of Computer Science. Prior to joining NUCES, he was a faculty member at GIKI in the Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering from 2002 till 2004; specializes in the field of Artificial Intelligence. He has worked in the area of machine learning, swarm intelligence, computational intelligence, evolutionary algorithms, data mining, expert systems etc. He has been involved in teaching and research at undergraduate as well as graduate levels and has supervised numerous final year projects and Thesis. Dr. Kashif has been awarded full scholarship from Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Technology, Islamabad for his postgraduate studies. He has published a number of research papers in international journals and conferences of high repute. Dr. Kashif has hands-on experience in the IT industry and has worked in different organizations in USA and has around 15 years of full time job experience.
Dr. Ayyaz Hussain -
Professor, Quaid e Azam University, Islamabad
Ayyaz Hussain is currently working as Professor of Computer Science at Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. From 2010 to 2020 he was Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science & Software Engineering at International Islamic University Islamabad. He worked as Research Professor at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology South Korea from 2013-2014. During 2000 to 2010 he served as Software Engineer at National Engineering and Scientific Commission.
Dr. Hussain received his PhD from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES-FAST) in 2009. His research interests include Image processing, computer vision, machine learning and deep learning. He has published more than 40 journal articles along with number of conference papers. He has supervised more than 10 PhD and 25 MS students.
